Dog Care Assistant
We are looking for an experienced, confident and enthusiastic person to join our team at The Playhound!
The Position:
• Minimum of 3 days/10 hours per week
• Wage dependent on age and experience
The role will include but is not limited to:
• Caring and exercising our dogs
• Liaising with customers
• Learning about dog behaviour and body language
• Following our dog handling procedures and processes
• Cleaning indoor and outdoor areas
Requirements:
• A minimum of English and Maths GSCE or equivalent
• Good oral communication skills
• Previous work experience demonstrating dependability
• Experience with handling several breeds and sizes of dogs (preferably work related)
• Confident working with and handling all sizes of dog
• Confident walking dogs
• Self-motivated, independent, and flexible
• Physically fit to perform daily tasks, such as walking long distances, lifting, being on your feet for extended periods
• A willingness to learn about how to handle and care for dogs and help add to the business
• A full UK driving license and car at your disposal (desired)
